Michiko Sakano

Michiko is influenced by minimalist aesthetics and the discipline of line.

Coming from a family of traditional hand painted Japanese kimono making, Michiko Sakano's ideals are based on superb craftsmanship and un-compromised aesthetics. She creates simple and clean forms primarily in a hot glass process. Michiko Sakano Studio is a glass fabrication studio in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Many of her works are made at UrbanGlass.
